Hormigón Tours

Hormigón Armado Tours is a different kind of visit to the popular neighborhoods and markets of the city of La Paz - its focus is on popular daily life and local customs. The friendly guidance of those who know these areas like the back of their hand and whose experience, unique perspective and storytelling enriches the experience to a unique sharing.  The chaos, smells, flavors, scenes and scenarios are complemented in a unique offer that creates the conditions for an unforgettable visit. Comments from those who took the tour reaffirm our confidence that we have created a unique experience of great interest for foreign and national tourists.

The guides are 10 shoe shiners who are part of the Hormigón Armado project and who have received extensive training to offer a guide service from professionals in the area. 90% of the cost of the tour goes directly to the guides, which is an important support for them and their families. The vision is to make tourism a professional alternative of steady employment for the guides to gain enough experience and capacity with us while we train more to take their place.

The tour currently costs 70 bolivianos per person with discounts for large groups. It takes around 2 to 3 hours on foot and by cable car. We recommended at least two days in advance for your reservation.
