Since its founding, the Hormigón Armado Project has not failed to provide financial and logistical support to any of the members for any emergency health case of any of the members of the Collective that has required it. The dimension of the support has always depended on the size of the case and, above all, on the funds available at the time.

The funds for health support, specifically in cases of emergency, come from the members' own resources, donations, campaigns members of the Fundación Arte y Culturas Bolivianas, donations, campaigns (e.g. Luca Quivo's campaign in 2019 for a health fund for Hormigón Armado) and specific activities are also generated from the sale of the Hormigón Armado Newspaper, postcards, CD ́s and others, as printed in the pages of the newspaper itself. With these different means generate a health fund for the cases that need to be attended, which are fluctuating.

We also channel different supports, agreements and programs for health, such as accident insurance through Profin, and/or donations such as bio-safety materials. At In the case of agreements, we currently have agreements with MSIB and Arco Iris (through Red Calle).  Finally, several of the Collective's health cases are coordinated with other organizations of the Red Calle de La Paz of which Hormigón Armado is a member.

Since the implementation of the SUS in 2019, the State has been gradually addressing access to health by assuming this right of the population in a more effective way, although still with shortcomings. This new situation has been reducing the intervention of institutions and projects in direct health support. This is also the case of the Hormigón Armado project, where direct support and emergencies are referred in the first instance to the SUS and in the event that further attention is required. It is analyzed by the SUS they are analyzed individually and subject to budget.

In the case of legal advice, we do not handle economic funds, but rather alliances with some lawyers for this support.

 

 

CAse follow-up and social work

Case follow-up and social work is a central aspect of Hormigón that is fully contemplated in the operational area of social work. It involves all the systematization work, reports, social files and case follow-ups without which none of the direct social support programs and activities would work. The continuous follow-up and constant social work ARE the "operative" in the Hormigón Armado Project and are in charge of the social worker and Project H.A. coordinator (case follow-up and social work) and the rest of the Hormigón team and volunteers.
