EMPRESA BOLIVIANA DE ALIMENTOS Y DERIVADOS - EBA

The Biscuit Production Unit with EBA is a program that has operated for almost 10 years and was also forged with the support of Save the Children. This production unit generated social work for up to 12 people, mostly women, mothers who came with their small children, in different shifts and under an order regime by EBA. The produced cookies were for the mother's allowance and/or school breakfast, and depended on their contract from the State to EBA, and the quantity requested. The stability of this program, therefore, depends on the stability of the EBA company and the contracts with the State. Since the end of the year 2023, this program ceased due to the State's economic situation.

The Biscuit Production Unit generated resources by way of payment for production to the members of the Collective who participated in this program, and also generated funds for certain administrative expenses, in this case, rent and services. This is as long as the product produced by the State and through EBA is required. The culmination of this program meant a readjustment in the Reinforced Concrete Project; however, the changes and teachings that remained are an indisputable heritage of the same.
